Persistent expedition action RPG · mobile-first
FORNWARD
Build one Wanderer. Go deeper. Keep what you learn.
A small Early Public Test is taking shape now. The current build is real, incomplete, and changing.
One character. Many expeditions.
Fornward is a mobile-first action RPG about taking one long-lived Wanderer into dangerous places, fighting through them, finding useful equipment and skills, shaping a build, and returning stronger.
This page does not pretend concept art is gameplay.
The repository does not currently contain a suitable up-to-date gameplay still for the public landing page. Until one is captured from the release candidate, the game itself is the evidence.
Open the live build surface →Your history should stay attached to one character.
Identity comes from what you find, what you equip, what you learn, and what you remember overcoming. Fornward is being built around attachment to a persistent Wanderer rather than disposable runs.
The world should feel layered, not decorated.
Fornward is about moving through places that have been rebuilt, reused, forgotten, reopened, and changed by different people over time. Broken Chapel is one current adventure—not the definition of the whole world.
Early means early.
This test exists to find failures, confusion, and weak assumptions before a wider release.
Local saves. Your test character currently lives in this browser on this device. There is no cloud account.
Backups exist. The current build can export and restore a local save backup.
Wipes may happen. Skills, gear, and progression foundations are still changing. Planned wipes will be communicated.
No permanence promise. Exported test saves are recovery copies, not a promise of perpetual compatibility.
Useful feedback beats hype.
Discord is the intended home for bugs, confusion, and playtest feedback when a release candidate is promoted. The invite is supplied by the release configuration, not embedded into this page.
This candidate is not ready for public promotion until the real community route is configured.
